I am Michael Ho, a freelance photographer and photojournalist based in San Francisco Bay Area and San Diego Area in California. I was born in Hong Kong, and raised in mainland China and Hong Kong. I have taken photos since 2018 and covered the news in Hong Kong, San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego and beyond. In my career so far, I have been covered Hong Kong protest in 2019, Covid-19, National Security Law, Abortion right protests in U.S., Wildfires in California, ICE raid and more other topics. My photos and videos have been featured on different media such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, NBC news, CNN, Fox news, The Guardian, The San Diego Union-Tribune and more. Other than photojournalism, I am also good at Sport Photography and Event Photography. I am the official photographer of San Francisco Marathon and Berkeley Half Marathon since 2022. In addition, I also take sport and event photos for plenty of schools, colleges and businesses. My mission is capturing different moments around the world and use my images to impact the world and people.
